Long time ago, there lived a young couple, a man and his wife. His wife was pregnant, and she wanted a plant. The plant grew only in her neighbor’s garden. She wanted it so much that she asked her husband to steal it.
Unfortunately, Mother Gothel, the owner of the garden caught him. She was angry and punished them. She forced them to give their first baby. A few months later, the baby was born. It was a girl and named Rapunzel. Mother Gothel took away the baby with her.
Years after, Rapunzel grew into a beautiful girl with long golden hair. Poor Rapunzel! Mother Gothel didn’t want Rapunzel leave her. So, she locked Rapunzel in a high tower in the forest. The tower was so high that it could be entered by climbing Rapunzel’s hair. This made Rapunzel sad. To cheer herself up, she loved to sing.
One day, a young prince was hunting and passed near the tower. He heard Rapunzel’s beautiful voice. He decided that he must meet her. So, he spied and found what Mother Gothel said to make Rapunzel drop her hair. The prunce visited her often and they fell in love.
Then Rapunzel planned to escape from the tower. She weaved a ladder from silk to escape. But Mother Gothel knew the plan and caught her. Mother Gothel sent her away to the desert and threw the prince from the tower into a thorny bush. The thorns made him blind.
God blessed them so that they found each other. Rapunzel’s tear healed the prince’s eyes. They lived happily ever after.
